bod mod thoughts

October 17, 2005

I’ve been contemplating a facial tattoo. I know it may be a bit of a radical move, but I think, if done subtly, it could be something truly great. Something that could erase the urge to wear dangly earrings ever again.

The problem, for me, is it needs to be a reward, the way that i think about wrist tattoos as a reward for reaching a healthy weight. Not that I want to be a stick figure, just remain healthily under two hundred pounds.

I am thinking that formal admission to the graduate program would be an adequate milestone (I have to complete 4 courses for entry). This would mean I have about a year to figure out if this is really something I want to do.

Facial body mod, is that extreme? Moreover, is it too extreme?

It is extreme but can’t say if it’s too extreme without knowing what you’re planning. I’ve seen some interesting tats.. the ones that are subtle and follow the hairline - those can be pretty.

Hi, perhaps you may want to try out henna on your hands, indian style and get a salon which specialises in temp. facial tattoo to help you out with designs and advice. =)

There are some pretty amazing full-facial traditional tatoos in New Zealand — the original technique was more facial “carving” than drawing. Modern variations use normal tatoo techniques, and include more subtle versions. Try keywords like “maori” and “koru” to find designs.
