fire hydrant
July 6, 2006
Sometimes the most mundane things can make you chuckle. At the corner of Oxford and Wendell streets in Cambridge sits a fire hydrant. More appropriately, the poor thing looks rather buried. Enough of the connections are exposed so as to be a fully functional hydrant, but because it’s set a little further down in the pavement it carries a comical look of someone stuck in the mud.
