who needs a PhD anyway?

March 7, 2005

Xiang has pointed me at another long lived webcomic that I didn’t know about, piled higher and deeper. It is funny and full of grad school wit. It has also been running for several years, so you can entertain yourself endlessly reading the archives.

January 20, 2005

I am doing a little research project on cool t-shirts, and in looking through things I found a very amusing strip from 2003. Go check out goat’s look at overclocked lemons.

Ghost World

January 14, 2005

I watched Ghost World in December, and really enjoyed the feel of the whole thing. It’s quirky and dark, like the comic, and manages to be optimistic in the end.
I still recommend reading Clowe’s comics more than seeing the movie, but if you like the comic, or refuse to read comics, then I suggest […]

comic wondrousness

October 7, 2004

I love people who link to neat things, because it means I can link to wonderful things. Or at least it means I can find out about more interesting things.
Check out the angsty goth neatness of Ornery Boy.

blast from the past

October 7, 2004

I’ve been enjoying a thread going through Scary Go Round, since the time travel theme is being taken to a slightly different level here. I especially like Shelly’s surliness, since she reminds me much of myself in moments of utter honesty. *sigh*
