Nice post,

What my attention was really drawn to was the fact that muscle fatigue isn't caused by lactic acid - I didn't know this.

What I do know is, the next day, if you've still been left with lactic acid in the muscles, it can be crippling pain.

It's important that after exercise, to avoid this, you warm down with plenty of stretching. Also, drinking lots of water is also supposed to help rehydrate the muscles and aid in the removal of lactic acid.

Echohawk makes an excellent point regarding Pan Yuliang's fame resting on the details of her life rather than her talent and achievements. I have spent many years traveling to China and Paris to research Pan Yuliang's life and will publish a book in 2009 with a long story that reveals, finally the truth, based on atributed documents and sources. None of the Internet entries, not one, from any source, Chinese or other, about her life, is correct. The fictional legend of her life simply perpetuate itself over and over in varying versions.

I'm a huge Birthday Massacre fan. How did Chibi do with live vocals? I've got a bootleg copy of one of their concerts from last year and was a little surprised that she had a hard time hitting some notes. She do ok?

remember one scene in SAC, motoko was trying to pull the turret off a tank, unfortunately her arms gave out and fell off with the turret while the rest of her body went the other way. hee. you have the back and legs to conquer the world, yet your arm strength is worse than pitiful.
to commiserate, i have been to gym enough to feel soreness in almost all my muscles (except my biceps, more on that later). on the worst cases, i had to walk down the stairs gingerly because my pecs were hurting so much from the little jiggling as i descend, hard to believe, even a scrawny kid like me could have the need for sports bra.
ok biceps. i have never been able to get 'em sore. i think my theory is that they are super lazy and quickly create the illusion of being maxed out, yet they are not. hence i can work them to death and don't feel any effect the next day. maybe next time you have an awkward box full of 50 lbs of weight, gimme a ring and I can go work on my biceps.
